The popular watch company, Tag Heuer announced that they will continue to back Tiger Woods. The company spokeswoman stated, “He’s the best in his domain” and “We respect his performance in the sport”. This is good news for tiger as the major corporate sponsors lead toward cutting ties with the golfer, as consulting firm Accenture just did following the footsteps of Gatorade. Gillette and AT & T have stopped running ads featuring Tiger Woods and may soon drop him as well. From a business perspective, this makes sense. Who in their right mind would want to associate their product with a lying, womanizing cheater?
